Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia is a country that has high intensity rainfall. Rainfall with high intensity can cause flooding especially in densely populated urban areas such as those that occur in Jakarta. The amount of development carried out by the government makes at least land that absorbs or water catchment areas. So that triggered stagnant water in large volumes and cause flooding. The lack of information obtained by the community when a flood will occur, makes the community unable to prepare themselves. This requires a monitoring and warning system for the officer in charge of this, so that the officer can immediately convey the information to the community around the river or river. With the existence of a monitoring and early warning system the information obtained should be easier and more acceptable anywhere and at any time so that the community can prepare themselves for the coming flood. The author uses several methods of collecting observation data and study literature. The study uses Arduino and Ultrasonic Sensors to detect water levels at times.
